Chapter 11

The warmth of the strong summer had it to offer which soon gave away to visit of any unexpected storms giving it the blaze and sweep of a cold touch to it s confront ores were ever the were

Sulaven dragged him out of bed as cock called out awaiting the world for the morning that was about to shine its strength at Tillers Peak Good morning dear said Sulaven as he greeted his wife with a kiss good morning she replied and  seat her way to make breakfast Sulaven as he had finished his morning chores he went down to the kitchen to have is meal

Sulaven collapsed on the chair in the kitchen and stretched out the news paper to read and soon as he and done so he happen to hear the sound of wheels

The tow looked at each other wondering and said how could that be at this time of the day

Sullivn quickly went into the drawing room and opened the door it was the principal Mr. Skinner well good mooring Mr. Skinner said Sulaven

What oh no Mr Sulaven a very bad morning said Skinner

How come Mr. Skinner what is the matter? Oh I am sorry do come in oh dear oh dear Mr. Skinner said as he came in.   

Sit down Mr. Sinner what is the matter sit down how I can help you

The children the children have nothing to eat there is nothing to serve said Mr. Skinner

Nothing to serve the children said Sulaven as Martha came in to study hearing the scream

Sulaven quickly opened the latch of the barn and said to Skinner

There Mr Skinner take as much as sakes of wheat with you

By the way had the children hand their breakfast said Sulaven

I hope you have a huge kitchen in you hostel said Sullivan

 It will take a couple of people to take breakfast in mint for 60 children

Sulaven then called over some of his farmers

Come on boys we are going to help Mr. Skinner and we are going to make brake fast

Sulaven then said to Skinner get on your to the car we are right behind you

Skinner went to his care and stared to drive

Sulaven with a group of 16 men and 10 bags followed Mr Skinner to the hostel as they reached the hostel the men and Sulend by Mr, Skinner went to the kitchen

Nothing to worry breakfast will be served in mint

Mr Sulaven sent fro one of his boy’ to buy some milk for the hungry children with out Mr Skinner knowing about it and soon breakfast was served with milk at the mess hall

Mr Sulaven went to the office and said to Mr Skinner breakfast is ready the children can come in to the mess hall

After breakfast the two men went around the corner of the hostel and saw the children

On seeing the small children Sulaven remembered of his angel grand daughter Magness and wished so much in his heart to see her again

 Skinner new the look of Sulaven face and did not bother to ask

Skinner thanked Sulaven and the 16men in doing a wonderful job

Sulaven was quite silent at home as he sat on his rocking chair Martha was very sad and wondered what was the matter he softly that he missed his family and wanted to see them

Martha know this mind of a father she too wanted too see them she gently patted his back and said don’t worry I am here

Just then sound of wells were heard again how is that ? Said Mratha

As he opened the door and went out  the yard a voice called at him Grand pap

Magness he cried out as he turned around till he could see the red frocked six year old running towards him as she came towards him he took ed her in his arms and circled around

Mangess had almost forgotten what that felt like for a long time Magness was so happy that she had forgotten  all about doll she had clutched  to her chest in the car were she had left it

Norman and Agness had come in Martha on seeing her son ran towards him and embraced him, what a surprise she said

It is a good to be home Norman said

Were is your father Martha said he is out said with Magnes Norman replied

Angess who came in with Norman went straight to the room

Dropped the suitcase on a corner and took a good look at the room

It never in remotely looked as if no one has been living in it for 2 years

It was Spike and span Agness thought that as if she had come to some thing that had her name on .

  

Norman of the other hand was trolling through memory lain inspecting rooms after room corner by corner till he came to the kitchen were his mother making the meal he soon started to talk

Mean while in lush green year of Tillers Peak was Magenss rooming around with a smile of her face as if the world was happy to see her Sulaven too joined her in to the fun

Magenss was surprised to know that the swing was still there and grand pap had not taken it away as Miss Mummfet takes away her toys and keeps in high places

She ran toward the apple tree were the swing was she stood frozen as she saw the swing it looked older her with dust all over the seat

Webs had made good use of the rope’s it was like pillar to make the webs strong Dry leaves had made the carpet it looked as she had never know the swing at all But hearing the voice of her grand father she quickly dusted the seat and sat down even though the sight’s of the web’s frightened her

To Mangess more than scary webs meant the smile and pat of her  grandfather on  her back

Yes that meet the world to her so she started to swing

Sulaven the protecting glide was in a distance as he came to magness aide Grand pap I am here come and find me magness cried out

As she had finished saying so she had a friendly knock on her heard it was Sulaven who wanted to Surprise her

Tell me dear Sulaven asked how is you new home have you made any new discoveries or friends Mangess replied new home no place is good enough with out you Grand pap and yes  I have a new friend his name is Andra his my best friend

The week at Tiller’s peak might have been nothing for Norman or Agress but it was the world for Magness The birds its musical prayers the companion ship of Tillers Peak brass which has been there for the Tillers through thick and thin and contend presence an comforting hand of her Grand grading angle ‘Grand Pap Mr Sulavan

Yes in deed she was once again the voice in the house

Even through Mr Suavan was not around Mangness like a tail to a cat it never bothered Magness The house would take over the comforting peak of her mind and still

It would be waking on the air for her

But soon like as Flower losses its elegance and fragrance it was time for Magness to go back to Colorado and to a word of silence and thought of her own in to herself

It was Friday afternoon the car started off the engine she embraced her grad dad as she did her Granddad told her do come soon Mangess Ok Magness

And soon they got on the car and was off as they waved buy to each other Magness turned back waved to her grand parents as they soon they soon gradually disappeared form her eyes and Tillers Peak as the car moved away from them her pounded as she know the spring of her joy breath of freshness and words was moving from her reach

She comforted herself as they passed away from the Peak and through the fields and in to the open road’s

She said to herself

‘I will be back it needs me her or is it I !

                  To my home – yes I will be back ‘

Chapter 10

Once again sunflowers had its desalting life spread out the sun shined so as it had not been lightened before the parries of California were in its best dress of elegance alert and waiting for summer to saw it warmth in its nest all round

No word no dead could change it

The mid of Magness it was focused Oh yes she know were she was going she was off to Tillers Peak to her grad pap there is were is she going

Norman gathered the suitcase in to the car as she asked Agness reminded her to make sure she locked every door in the house

Magness went to her room quickly grasped her doll and made her out the room and out the house in to the car

As they all sat in the car took one good look at the house and drove off to California

Magness has great fun looking through the window it was fun greenery was amassing the wilderness the houses the sight took her breath away even though the sun had shined out its flames the joy of seeing her grand pap once again, it Tillers Pak happen to have lifted the heart from her shoulder Magness had her mind set for a surprise for her Grandpa she imagined in her herself the look of her grandpa what would it be when her old friend see her after so long How would Grand mama react in seeing mother she gathered all the questions she had posted in her mind for Grandpapa to ask for  a long time .

Norman had the radio on the whole time the song of Elvis  was  raising its steam. Agness leaned back and enjoyed the ride it was a rest for her like no other it was like water in the desert sand

Norman the driver wished if he had a spare because he was getting tired it did not matter to him were  he was going even it meant going to her parents all he could think of was the road and wheels

As if time had regained consciousness the silent ad tired parents started taking Agness went on with her furniture and the neighbors Norman went on with his work driving seeking in reply and of his job Magness had no idea what they were taking as she looked at the two heads seated at the front seats taking rapturously she clung tightly to her doll and looked through glass for she was getting frightened she thought  of the pitched sounds in their conversation that they were quarreling

Soon the night fell and it was time for some to shut eyes they stopped by a hotel had their dinner and water they did not have much since they were exhausted they took a room just bellow Jeff’s hotel and went right to bed Magness held in one an end of the pillow and the other her doll with   memories of all the good time she had in all this six years she though of her Grandpap most since he took up every one else because of her Friendship with her

Tomorrow a day to remember tomorrow the day I return she said as she went to sleep

Chapter 9

 Flowers blossomed its freshness its fragrance spread the colours of the rainbow seem to have beamed its colours on the ground squirrels came out from their borers the flock of the birds sailed through the sky yes excitement was in the air but there was always the fear of being captured by predators suspension surely had it claw to aim

It was Tuesday afternoon and Norman and came in quite surprisingly! Mgness you know what Good new you are going to school Oh what that is wonderful news said Miss Mummfite

Ah! School so soon said Magness

Miss Mummfet who felt relived for a moment was alarmed on hearing Agness it is already to late already I would say said Miss Mummfit

But I did not get to tell the good news to grand pap the happy new said Mgnss nor Andra what ?—whey would you want to Mr. Andrea that you are going to school beside there is nothing in it  is not like you are going to the other side of the world , besides every one goes to school said Norman but he is my friend said Mgness

For the rest of the day Mgness danced trough the room ringing, playing shouting and laughing

Mr Andra said well princess what is it have you got something today did you find a treasure today

Mgness said we are going to grand papa dad said we are going to see grand pap next and I am going to!

And Andra going –were come on tell me you can tell beside I am you friend –right

Mgness –friend you mean it ? What the heck! I am going to school, Andra going to school that is wonderful new don’t you want to go to school

School is a wonderful place well I remember going to school for the first time as it was yesterday

Magness said what Yesterday –that is funny I don’t if I want to go to school well if you say it is a wonderful place it must be a wonderful place ,and she nodded her head up and down,

Andra said ah ! What do you think you are grown up you?

mgness replied it is nothing wrong to grown up

Magess -Well I can’t wait to go to see grand papa

Aandra -I can see that but tell me which school you are going to

Mgness Me what which school I don’t know does that matter

On their way to home Magness had words of her joy to her mother trapped in her tough and she pulled towards her mouth to tell her but,

Her mother said whey do you got and disturbed Mr Andra you are always there taking to him. It is not if you are alone! We are all there Miss Mufet is there at home all the time grow up will you and learn to behave

Mgness on hearing this ,said nothing and swallowed the words that she so desired to tell her mother in to herself and walked along silently

The evening served itself as always Norman and Agness went on banging doors one after the other serving the house and doing their chores dinner was served and the news’s was given

Norman had his share to tell at the dinner table Agness to was not all short in words had everything to tell on the of the house her work but never to ask

Magness had her meal as she looked back and forth the faces of her parents hopping that they would slow it down and turn to her and ask her of how she of how she had spend her day what she had as Mr Andra and Grand pap would ask her

Chapter 8

The ice had melted along time ago, the tree had come out and it was time for new Farming was in its park in Colorado , ah yet mending and sawing of seeds was in the progress but et the misguided cold air still blow its forces making its notice,

Norman was quite the same they went to the life of being themselves, the family of being by themselves was something they felt right a way and thought that it would commence as soon once they had settled down

The land lord of the Normans was quit a husk of a person his name was Andre-piper he walked as an army officer people was afraid to come up to him because he was a person of shot of words but in spite he was a man of service offered it right way

Norman the business man often kept a face of duty and details started right to work as soon as he would working in Colorado was something great he thought of this promotion in his profession life and was in his wits to make straw in to gold

Agness the house wife found it hard to make two ends met since her mother law was not there as in  at Tiller Peak it was not  fun she said to herself and missed her home Agness soon joined as an accountant of a company and soon got accustomed to the life

But things were a lot different for Magness hours were like days and was often sheen along   Miss Mufet made  her more lonely Oh she longed for the voice of her grandfather “Mr. Sulaven  waving  at  her the wing the adventures and discoveries she made at tillers Peak , the moment she caught the tip of ice burg of a treasure in one of her exploration was now mealy to be fragment of her past

Miss Mummfet was stale of mind, she had lost her family and taken up child care to earn her bread

Mgness tried to find the comfort face of her grand papa in her toys and the touch of the bees of Tillers Peak that made her face through one of the window’s but, this only gave her disperses as she sank into . like a stone into a lake

Andra Piper has his pipe he  was someone who caught her mind she wondered whether it had any thing to do with the pipe that made him a man  he was called even though no one in the family took away , notice of this man Magness had captured the image as one of her surprise discoveries she had made

Andrea had noticed this straight look of Mgness and took in giving surprise calls one a while being there neighbor Andra came often and got to know Mgness better

Even though Colorado was nothing like tiller peak Andra had a lot to show Mgness The Company she cherished but nothing took the place of tillers Peak which she longed for

One fine morning the phone began to ring Norman answered it ,it was Sunday it was no one else but his father The moment Mgness heard her father calling dad Mgness ran towards the strange handle Mgness screamed dad is it grand papa let me talk please

Norman said ahh-oh right you can talk and mgness was given the phone it was a shift she had the world in her hand the voice of her Grand papa made her burst into words she spoke of her friend , she asked for everything she could think at tiller she was back but soon

Chapter 7

As the days proceeded the wind became stronger and colder the dry leaves had fallen frm the tree making the naked Rodent were most potently noticed entertainer of mother nature  seen trout out , since the wind was getting colder and colder the animals preferred the indoors most of the time and showed themselves when only it was a question of their tummies

                                                                                           Things in Tiller peak was quit the same every one preferred the indoor in more ways then one Sulaven and Martha kept their feeling of sorrow to them selves of their family parting from them Magness who was the center of innocence know nothing about it nor was she aware of the parting with her pall Magness as always trolled around the house made fun playing with Grad paps

Whey does our only so want to leave us we will be left alone murmured Martha  Ah I think it was meant to be said Sulaven as they leaned back on their chairs in the gard3en and rose back through memory lane

As they sat down Magness stood behind Sulavan then suddenly gave a sudden alarm of surprised

Sulaven giving a loving smile took up Mgness and made her sat on his lap

Mgness asked grand pap what is wrong are you angry with grand mama

Magness  has her eyes on her grand pap for his answer

Sulven and Marth went inside and fell in their chars they were sad

Chapter 6

Magnus was almost entering in to the age of 4.Were one goes to school it was Autumn and leaves where shading down wind where the starting to blow strongly very few birds seen in the countryside of California the wind bulls where grassing in the filed the greenish of the countryside was getting dull so was ting in Tiller peak the harvest had failed and other thing turned to be .

Agness and Norman were at home. Normas was promoted to Colorado were he was given family status. Norman had actually come to Tiller Peak to take his family to Colorado Suaven had not idea of this idea Till one day Norman come face to face with his father

Norman said father Madness had grown to a fine girl to a age where a step has to be taken Sullivan agreed and said yes indeed that precious one has definitely grown to a big girl and said yes indeed that precious one has definitely grown to a big girl Well it is almost time for her to got school I had no idea that years had passed were do you think she should join whey not in the St Peter’s it is near from home and Mr Skinner you know the now who plays the piano in the church

Sulaven surprisingly ok, Magness  I will tell your father if that is what you want I would want the same thing too.

Sulaven then dried the tears from Magness eyes took her into her arms and walked out of the room as they were about to do so Martha happen to pass by, Martha enquired what are you both up to now Sulaven said noting just a walk in the garden are you coming too

Martha oh me! may be later not now I have thing to do

As Sulaven walked out of the door way Martha noticed that Magnss cheeks were wet and she went about her work.

Agness had just finished her work in Magness room arranging. Martha came over to the room and asked

Agness replied no, not that I know of she was rooming around with her doll when  I was on my way upstairs

Martha asked again well has Norman told her anything

Agness replied Norman well he was quit silent today most of the time he said wanted to talk to Dad. It sounded something important

Agness then said that she had no idea yet he said that he will tell about it over

Dinner

Martha then too over the room and Agnes went out of the room and went down the stairs as she was making her way down the stairs her mind went passed her as she wondered of Norman had to say to the family at dinner she said to her self with fear at heart what could it be what possibly could it be

As she gassed through window on the stairway she happen to see Magness and Sulaven waking at once her wondering stood still as she noticed the long sad helpless faced of Sulaven and Mgnes she then reminded herself of Martha telling her of Agness crying she then came down the stairs and then out into to the open .

Ha! Yes it was the breeze of Tillers peak as it made its way through the trees green fields animals and too through Sulaven Agness and Magness

Agness approached the sad looking witness as they were standing around the swing

Oh alright Exclaimed Aagness and said what is wrong with you two

Magnes not knowing of her mother presence, turned towards on her hearing her voice

Agness asked in shock my dear child what is the matter whey are you crying she then looked towards Sullivan as he turned away her face tell me someone of what is wrong she asked

Magness said to her mother with tears whey mother do we have to leave Grad Papa and home

Agness in her shock said leave! were who said that to you that we are leaving we are not leaving any where as she comforted her daughter

Magness taking in very haply said we are not that is very good news

Sullivan said to Mgness dear whey don’t you play on the swing while I and you mother have a walks

Walking back to peak edge they put their minds to action thinking of what to do what to say their mind was disturbed and preoccupied but they constantly felt the refreshing by the companion of Tillers peak wind

The sun had set. The moon light was bright for the owls to come out from their yearning next everything was quit even the home except Martha and the house maidens  laid everything  and penitently awaiting Martha called out the table quietly Sulaven as always took the head of the table

Norman had come in the sit next to his father facing his wife everyone began to serve and feed themselves quietly with the food on their plate

Agness Sulaven and mgness constantly looked at Norman with anxiousness and anger Martha suddenly said ah Agness told me that you Norman ----

Sulaven said Norman not now you may say your peace in the study after dinner now have your meal

Dinner was over every one got up form their seats except for Martha who was not aware by the voice of her husband and the look of Agness that
